1. The overall darkness of the photos really pops out the small details that Gabby wanted to highlight. I see a lot of shapes and lines especially in the brighter parts. The shapes created by the lights are also very prominent due to the black/dark background.
2. Gabby's photographer was Kim Holtermand. Gabby successfully mimiced the photographer's style by emulating the use of light and dark that Holtermand used in his photos. The colors are similar in that retrospect.
3. The photos emulate a theme of darkness and almost a mood of sadness and intensity. There is almost a mysterious feeling, maybe onimous, that is conveyed through his photo. Taking the photos at nighttime helped create this feeling.
4. Two strong qualities to the photo are the shapes created by the small lights especially in the window and the lines in the brighter parts. These add lots of detail and mystery to what the photo could be conveying. If he wanted to improve, he could keep a constistent theme for the lines of the parts of the photo, instead of some parts being brighter than others.
