Blog #9: Environmental Portrait Critique

The subject of the photo was the sleeping boy which was made evident by him sleeping in the bed. The seting was a bedroom where the boy is sleeping. The mood evoked by the photo was peaceful since the photographer captured the boy in bed, unaware. The subject is emphasized due to the business around him. Lines and patterns were the element/principle of art used in the photo. The boys arms were an example of lines because they led the eye around the photo. Additionally, the sheets were an example of pattern beause they created visual interest in the different parts of the photo.
