Blog #14: Discover More About Pop Art

Five common visual themes within Pop Art are (from the top left - bottom right) contrast, line, texture, color, and pattern.

In the first photo, contrast is present in the juxtaposition of the blue, yellow, and red colors.

In the second, the lines of the girls face melt into the lines of the waves, adding to the overall beauty of the piece.

In the third piece, the texture of the different food pops out at the viewer.

The forth is an example of color because of the prominent pink and green colors that add to the somber mood.

The last is an example of pattern because of the repetition of the soup cans.

A. Project Subject: The subject of my photo will be hatred against Iranians.

B. I will add text to "pop" the images, use colors from the Iranian flag, repeat the photoshopped image to add to intensity, color in the head scarf only, and texturize the face to make the scarf stand out more.
